I would like to infodump my friends more about what I studied but:
This hobbie website will be where I eventually dump some knowledge as I embark on my journey as an engineer (hopefully) and attempt my hand at some projects. The first being a comprehensive and tidy book of my notes during my time studying
but I've had this long time dream of building a custom games console that works similarly to an NES but outputs vector information to an XY mode ocillioscope and uses homemade ROM flash cartredges. However this is a long shot because I haven't had much experience as unfortunatley University mostly teaches theory and I was stuck learning about transmission lines and project management techniques.
I also enjoy gardening however I am not the best. A short story:
A friend of mine and I during university helped out at the local community gardens. It was esencially a social club for all the local old hippes but they were chill and rather insightfull. For helping them they gave us a raised bed and a plum tree to care for, at this time my friend and I had become obssessed with permaculture and we tried companion planting our own version of the native American 3 sisters. We used corn, french peas and some green leaves, maybe spinach. We did the work, tended the bed, grew the seedlings in the nursery, transplanted them to the bed, and waited patiently. However during the time of waiting patiently my friend and I had our summer exams to prepare for as well as plenty of assignments and after our work was all said and done; we came back to our yield drying out or rotting away. We harvested a sad handfull of peas which was a shame because before we had forgotten about them our plants where growing quite well.
Moral of the story don't forget your peas and qs'. hehe
I spend a large majority of my time playing videogames. This is also an attempt to shy away from that and do something more creative instead. Kind of like a motivation tool i guess. But that doesn't mean I won't stop playing. As the time of writing I have just completed disco elysium which is amazing and I spent a good few days almost non-stop enjoying that. I also enjoy rimworld, city skylines, and various other games. I also play eurotruck sim when I want to watch a long video essay on youtube. I suppose it's my version of the brain rotting family guy/mobile gameplay shorts.
I also love semiconductors! I love the physics, the applications, the production, the architechture, the beauty of them. I will be writing of my experience of them here and also plan to write some literature reviews here while trying not to plagerise. That page will work as a sort of library for me to find random bits of information so I can always come back to my website to scratch up if I need too at any point. In particular I want to focus on power semiconductor materials like GaN, SiC, and Diamond as the speed of improvment in the technology is exciting.
Who knows what else I'll do with this site? Rant about life, Gush over creators I like, Find long lost dinosaurs? All while improving at HTML and CSS i hope.
If you've made it this deep into my crap you might as well shoot me an email: --> neohysen@gmail.com <--
